About

I am a postdoctoral research associate at University of Washington. My research is in the area of single-molecule imaging, gene editing proteins and DNA nanotechnology. I employ a suite of high-resolution imaging technologies (in-situ AFM, EM and single-molecule fluorescence) to enable nanoscale biological discovery.

In addition to research, I love reading and writing poetry. I am also enthusiastic about teaching meditation and yoga to young kids. In my free time, I read non-fiction books and learn sanskrit.

I grew up in Jhunjhunu, a small town in Rajasthan state of India. Rajasthan is famous for its desert safari, majestic forts and rich cultural heritage.

तेरी माटी

क्या हुआ गर तेरी माटी कि खुशबु मुझे नहीं आती,
क्या हुआ गर तेरी हवा मुझे नहीं सहलाती .

ये जान ले, कि तेरी खुशबु को मन में संजो के लाया हूँ ,
तन यहाँ है, पर दिल तो तेरे पास छोड़ के आया हूँ .

न रंगरेज़ के नाज़ुक रंगों से, न दौलत के गलियारों से ,
असली रंग तो चढ़ता है बस , यारों से , दिलदारों से !!

रात के अँधेरे में भी , आशा का दीप लिए खड़ा मैं ,
संघर्ष चाहे हो कितना भी, सबसे लड़ने को अब तो अड़ा मैं|
क्या हुआ अगर ये रात हैं लंबी , शेष अभी तो सारा यौवन ,
साहस का सूरज चमक रहा है, रौशन करता हर पल जीवन ||
